Prior to the COVID crisis, Opportunity Zones were the hottest topic in economic development. But were they really bringing new “opportunity” to Pennsylvania’s communities, and what is the role of Opportunity Zones in the post-COVID recovery?

Join the York County Economic Alliance for a webinar presented by Silas Chamberlin, VP of Economic & Community Development with York County Economic Alliance; Rachel Reilly, Director of Impact Strategy with Economic Innovation Group (EIG); and Vinny Cannizzarro, Director of The Arthur J. Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy at York College of Pennsylvania, as they talk about findings from a statewide survey on the impact of PA’s 300 federally-designated Opportunity Zones.  York College’s Glatfelter Institute for Public Policy oversaw the survey, which seeks to quantify the impact of Opportunity Zones, how communities are promoting and leveraging them, and what the general outlook is for Opportunity Zones in the wake of the COVID pandemic.
