Abbottstown, PA-based Altland House Hospitality Group (AHHG) has developed a temporary program to provide reduced-price meals for the York County community during this time of difficulty. With AHHG’s history of producing the local Meals-On-Wheels program, they have the ability and experience to produce thousands of meals on-demand. AHHG’s facility at The Wyndham Garden York near West Manchester was chosen as the location for meal prep and pick-up, as it’s centrally-located for a majority of the York County population.
The service start-up date is Tuesday, April 7th.
AHHG’s plan is to offer a hearty meal for $5 per person. The meals will be served curbside style, and can be packaged individually or in portions of 20+ servings for groups or families (with prior arrangements by phone or email). Two meal options will be served daily. A drive-thru pick-up service has been established at the hotel, to provide for the safe transfer of food to vehicles.
Their goal is to produce approximately 2000 meals per week, with hopes to expand that number with outreach to more businesses/donors. Donations can be made on their Facebook page through a secure fund-raising link, or directly to Ryan Haugh at AHHG: ryan_haugh@altlandhouse.com or 717.295.9535.
Food service will be provided Tues-Sat, from 2P to 6:00P, on a first-come, first-served basis. Cash and major credit cards accepted.
