Reopening York County

York County entered the “Green Phase” of Recovery on 6/12

What does that mean?

Businesses but must follow these CDC and Department of Health guidelines for social distancing as they reopen.

 

Business Guidelines (Restaurants, Retail):

  • Must Follow these Business and Building Safety Orders.
  • All retail food service businesses, including restaurants, and bars are permitted to provide take-out and delivery sales, as well as dine-in service in both indoor and outdoor seating areas, so long as they strictly adhere to the requirements of this guidance including maximum occupancy limits.
    • Bar seating may be utilized, with customers seated, and complying with physical distancing guideline of at least 6 feet, or physical barriers between customers.
    • Standing in a bar area will not be permitted.

Business Guidelines (Personal Care, Entertainment, Construction):

  • Must Follow these Business and Building Safety Orders.
  • Personal care services, including hair salons and barber shops may reopen but must operate by appointment only
  • Gyms or spas may reopen with appointments or reservations strongly encouraged
  • Construction activity may return to full capacity with continued implementation of protocols
  • All entertainment (casinos, theaters, shopping malls,) may reopen at 50% occupancy

Work & Congregate Guidelines:

  • Continued telework strongly encouraged
  • Churches, synagogues, temples, mosques and other places of congregate worship are specifically excluded from the limitations.  These institutions are strongly encouraged to enforce social distancing and other mitigation measures such as masking at their gatherings.
  • Visitation to prisons and hospitals may reopen, as determined by individual facility. Visitors who interact with residents and patients must be diligent regarding hygiene. 
  • Nursing home visitation restrictions will initially remain in place.

Public Guidelines:

  • Large gatherings restricted to 250 people
    • This includes, but is not limited to, a concert, festival, fair, conference, sporting event, movie showing, or theater performance.
